Tod is a writer, journalist, professional speaker, and management consultant. He lives in the Pacific Northwest with his wife and two teenage sons, where he spends entirely too much time in the kitchen making food that his doctor very much wishes he would not eat.
Tod’s work has appeared in Newsweek, Marie Claire, NPR, RISK!, Public Radio International, The League of Ordinary Gentlemen, Yahoo! News, and The Moth story slam. He is currently a regular contributor for The Daily Beast, and Editor-in-Chief for the online magazine Ordinary Times.
He is also the co-creator of The Golden Mean, a radio show and podcast that combines journalism, first-person story telling, and short fiction to explore the different sides of difficult, controversial, litmus-test topics. Season One of The Golden Mean is scheduled to premiere in the summer of 2016.
